Spinach and Ricotta Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought 9-inch pizza crust dough
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, rinsed and thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup ricotta
  • 10 leaves of fresh basil, ripped into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Pre-bake the pizza crust on a pizza stone until it's firm but not brown, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Remove the crust and spread the marinara sauce evenly over the top. Sprinkle on the garlic and cherry tomatoes. Add the ricotta cheese in evenly spaced dollops.
  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove pizza from the oven and set aside to cool.
  • Garnish with basil and red pepper flakes.
